General Disclaimer

Amber Certified Designers is a voluntary peer-reviewed professional certification. It is not a government-issued license, academic accreditation, or legally binding credential. The Amber certification represents a subjective evaluation by peer designers and should not be construed as an absolute measure of professional competence.

No Guarantee of Results

Amber certification does not guarantee:

  • Employment or freelance opportunities
  • Income levels or financial results
  • Client satisfaction or project outcomes
  • Professional recognition by any specific entity
  • Acceptance by any employer, client, or organization

Certification Decisions

All certification decisions are made at the sole discretion of Amber and its review panelists. These decisions are subjective professional evaluations and are final. Amber is not obligated to provide detailed feedback on denied applications. Denial does not constitute a statement about an applicant's professional value or abilities.

Third-Party Interactions

Amber is not responsible for:

  • Interactions between certified designers and clients or employers
  • Quality of work produced by certified members
  • Business disputes between members and their clients
  • Accuracy of information provided by members on their profiles
  • External links or services referenced on our platform

While we vet members through our certification process, we do not monitor or guarantee ongoing work quality. The Amber seal indicates a designer has met our certification criteria at the time of review.

AI and Technology

The design industry is rapidly evolving. Our policies regarding AI usage, tool requirements, and certification standards are subject to change as technology and industry norms evolve. Members are responsible for staying current with our published policies.

Directory Listings

Profiles in the Amber directory are self-reported by members and may not reflect current availability, pricing, or capabilities. Amber verifies identity and credentials at the time of certification but does not continuously audit all profile claims.
